End of Season
Rimini

Late September. The tourists have gone. Rimini breathes again.
The beach returns to those who live it beyond the season — to those who know the wind, the grey water, the cold arriving from the sea. The deckchairs are stacked. The pedal boats tied. The parasols wait in rows, closed like sleeping figures.
Yet someone still walks barefoot at the water’s edge. Someone sits on the sand facing the waves. Someone fishes on the pier as if time no longer mattered.
End of Season is the precise moment when a place stops performing and returns to itself.
