When everything moves

We have become obsessed with perfection.
A sharp image, correctly exposed, stable, free of noise. Today’s technology allows us almost everything: to see better, to correct mistakes, to eliminate what should not be there. Every imperfection is detected and removed, as if the image could exist only in its most controlled and predictable form.

And yet it is often precisely the limits and the errors that generate a way of seeing. A flaw could become a technique. A technique, a choice. A choice, a style. Until it entered the gaze of the one who looks and the one who creates. What at first was only an imperfection, once accepted and guided, stopped being a problem and began to speak with a voice of its own. It became vision.

Perhaps creativity does not begin when everything is under control.
Perhaps it begins when something escapes.
