Hidden Pearls
Vedeggio Valley, Switzerland | 2017 — 2019

“Photography as a midwife of the soul of places that was thought to be lost.”
— Prof. Graziano Martignoni
Hidden within the folds of the Vedeggio Valley, beyond the rush of the main roads and motorways, lie historical nuclei steeped in time and lived experience. This work is not merely architectural documentation, but a deliberate “pause of the gaze.”
By employing black and white, the images are stripped of the distraction of color to rediscover the underlying order and the soul of these places: the silent testimony of stone that defines our identity. It is a recognition of what has “already been,” captured at the very moment it risks fading from our daily awareness.
